Company History

1972:

George Stucker founds G.R. Stucker & Associates (GRSA), building on 20 years of process engineering and project management experience. George established GRSA to be a specialized provider of process engineering and technical services.

1973-1980:

During the remaining 1970s, GRSA provided chemical engineers and engineering technicians for in-plant services at the Exxon Baton Rouge Refinery and Chemical Plant, one of the largest and most integrated petrochemical complexes in the world. These services included production unit monitoring and troubleshooting, process safety analysis and mitigation, project screening and feasibility studies, process design basis development and specifications, and turnaround planning and execution.

1980’s-1990’s:

By the 1980’s, GRSA was providing process engineering and technical services to petrochemical, refinery, and specialty chemical companies located all along the U.S. Gulf Coast corridor. During this time, GRSA gained distinction in process safety services, including PHA’s, PSM’s, and SRR’s.

2000’s-2010’s:

After years of successful growth, GRSA expanded it’s services to provide detailed engineering and design. GRSA continued strengthening and diversifying it’s talent by adding experienced team members in the Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Materials disciplines.

Combined with an already strong Process group, GRSA now had the capability to take projects from conception to completion.

2010’s-2020’s:

Upon seeing a need for support in the reliability sector, GRSA further enhanced it’s services to provide risk-based inspection and mechanical integrity expertise for our clients by building a team of engineers with owner-operator experience.

There has been no project too small or too large that we have not been eager and able to support. This has led to global outreach and support, both in physical location and across new industries.

Today:

GRSA is a full-service engineering and design company that provides experience-based, cost-effective design solutions, delivered on time and within budget. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service with the utmost quality, safety, and efficiency in all of our engineering services, which is exemplified by our lasting business relationships and client diversity since 1972.
